Places To Stay & Tour

Livingstone is the tourist capital of Zambia, a landmark to the Mighty Victoria Falls, in the Southern Province of Zambia. The town was inspired and named after Scottish explorer Dr David Livingstone who was the first European to see and name the Falls after the British queen at the time. The history and culture are rich as is evidenced by the number of museums, the art and craft producers, the architecture, and the native food and way of life in the town. For visitors wishing to travel to Livingstone, the travel options are either by air or by road.

The airport in Livingstone is the Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport. Proflight, Mahogany Air, Kenya Airways and South African Airways are some of the Airlines that fly to Livingstone. Once you are in Livingstone the most common way to get around by taxi. Private taxis are unmetered so prices can be negotiated. Most hotels will be able to advise what you should be charged.
